My path to art was not a conventional one. I grew up in Tyrol and later moved to Vienna. For many years, I built a career in technology while completing a Master’s degree in Business Informatics. It was a world shaped by structure, systems and analytical thinking.
At the same time, my Austrian and Brazilian roots have always made different worlds part of who I am. Perhaps this is why I am drawn to contrasts rather than absolutes.
Painting opened another space. One where not everything had to be understood, planned or controlled. Perhaps this is why my work repeatedly returns to contrasts: control and surrender, desire and restraint, fear and freedom, darkness and light.

Rather than resolving these tensions, I explore what happens when they coexist.
