About the work
A woman is suspended within a wineglass. A stream of red wine enters from above, catching her body and flowing around her hair. The pale glass and white fabric contrast with deep reds and a dark, almost empty background.
The familiar object becomes an enclosed world. Pleasure, attraction and the possibility of losing oneself occupy the same space. Drops falling beside the stem extend the movement beyond the glass, while the figure remains held inside it.

The Power of Desire belongs to The Past, the first series of Lilith’s Story. The work turns an everyday object into an inner landscape, where longing and surrender become difficult to separate.
Its title leaves a question open: when does desire bring us closer to ourselves, and when does it begin to carry us away?
